Members ~ Introducing Rebecca!

Q. Introduce yourself – name, nickname, where you were born, how old you are, where you live, what your job is or what you study
A. I’m Rebecca. Nicknames include b, Miss Moth,
Born in what is now the Gooseberry Bush Pub in Nottingham in the early 70’s.
Live in St. Albans
I am a Business/IT Consultant

Q. What do you do in your spare time? What are you passionate about?
A. Food and Wine are big passions of mine. Also love dentists, Pedigree Sindy 1971 – 1984, The Tap n’ Tumbler in Nottingham (old student haunt), horror films, music and reading.
In my spare time I am getting back into snowboarding and running (after series of injuries last year)

Q. What is you most treasured possession?
A. I can’t think of any material possession that is more treasured than any other, but there are a number of things I would hate to be without (now thinking of my snakeskin platform boots)

Q. Which living person would you most like to meet?
A. I don’t know his name but he appears in my dreams on a regular basis... (hope the other half doesn’t read this!). Seriously though, I would really like to meet Bettie Page.

Q. Name your top three bands.
A.Well, I wouldn’t say they are my top bands, but at the moment I am enjoying listening to (in my car) Bullet For My Valentine, Rob Zombie and Rammstein.

Q. Name your top three movies.
A. Dumb & Dumber, Labyrinth, Blade (and last year’s top movie, for me, was Constantine)

Q. What is the most important book you have read? (can be non-vampire)
A. The Which Guide To Divorce ...

Q. Which is your favourite horror/vampire book?
A. Salem’s Lot by Stephen King, however I have just read The Secret Life of Laszlo, Count Dracula by Roderick Anscombe and I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Q. Do you think vampires are real? Explain
A. Well, there are blood drinkers, there are people who take and never give, there are beautiful people; there are people who should by all rights be dead, but are still wandering around … so to some extent vampires, to me, are real.

Q. What were your reasons for joining the London Vampyre Group? What do you want to get out of being a member?
A. I wanted to meet new people with interests in vampires (of course), dressing up, and alternative music.

Q. What is your favourite word?
A. Moribund

Q. What is your greatest fear?
A. The cupboard and drawer monsters. And the one in the attic

Q. What is the most important thing life has taught you?
A. Don't burn your bridges!

Q. Give a song lyric/quote from a film or person or a passage/sentence from a book that you feel embodies your approach to life
A. If you’re going through hell, keep going (Winston Churchill)

Q. Do you have a livejournal or personal webpage that we can link to?
A. I have a pretty empty Myspace profile at the moment – fo rboth myself and the LVG events… http://www.myspace.com/miss_mordred. and http://groups.myspace.com/londonvampyregroup .
