Members ~ Introducing Klif!
Q. Introduce yourself – name, nickname, where you were born, how old you are, where you live, what your job is or what you study
A.My name is Klif Fuller (for about 30 years I had the nickname of ‘Spliff’ but no one in the LVG calls me it) I was born in Hackney, East London a little over 47 years ago and still live in Hackney (if you can call that ‘living’). I work as Admissions Officer for a medical history library in London owned by a huge, well known company whose name I would rather not mention.
Q. What do you do in your spare time? What are you passionate about?
A. I spend far too much time on the Internet (I am a longstanding member of a film forum) I watch as many DVD’s as I can find time for. I draw cartoons and caricatures (Commissions undertaken. Reasonable rates). I’m very partial to a ‘Jazz Woodbine’ or three of a weekend. I support Tottenham Hotspur (for my sins). And of course I have a big interest in vampires and related topics
Q. What is you most treasured possession?
A. I have a limited first edition (one of only 500 printed), numbered, leather bound copy of the book ‘The Zombies that Ate Pittsburgh: The Films of George A. Romero’ personally signed by both the author, Paul R. Gagne and George Romero. I bought it in a rare bookshop when the LVG went to New Orleans in ’97. It cost me just under £50.
Q. Which living person would you most like to meet?
A. Probably Johnny Depp..who just comes across as a really cool, easy going bloke with a good sense of humour.
Q. Name your top three bands.
A.Just three?? Half Man Half Biscuit, The Ramones, Frank Zappa (or maybe Alice Cooper)
Q. Name your top three movies.
A. Too many to chose just three from (From Dusk til Dawn, both Underworlds, First two Blades, Head, Phantom of the Paradise, Kiss of the Dragon, Ong Bak, Murder By Death, all the Marx Bros films, This is Spinal Tap, Team America:World Police..I can go on..)
Q. What is the most important book you have read? (can be non-vampire)
A. The instruction manual for the DVD player
Q. Which is your favourite horror/vampire book?
A. ‘Anno Dracula’ by Kim Newman..a work of genius!!!
Q. Do you think vampires are real? Explain
A. A10. No…but as all cultures of the world have some sort of folklore/legends regarding the dead who drink the blood of the living..I’d like to think that maybe, many thousands of years back there was such a race but who died out..like dinosaurs.
Q. What were your reasons for joining the London Vampyre Group? What do you want to get out of being a member?
A. I was originally a member of the Vampire Society and opted to go with the LVG when ‘The Split’ occurred. I joined because I wanted to spend time with like minded people. So I could dress up and not stick out like a sore thumb..and to just have fun.
Q. What is your favourite word?
A. Hmmmm….probably ‘Bollocks’ as it is so versatile
Q. What is your greatest fear?
A. To my chagrin I am Arachnophobic….
Q. What is the most important thing life has taught you?
A. ‘Shit happens’
Q. Give a song lyric/quote from a film or person or a passage/sentence from a book that you feel embodies your approach to life
A. “My philosophy has always been ‘Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll, y’know?…but, as long as there’s sex and drugs…I can live without the rock ‘n’ roll”
(This is Spinal Tap)
Q. Do you have a livejournal or personal webpage that we can link to?
A. No….
