August 2006:LVG Annual Picnic

The LVG's annual picnic was held on 19th August at Waterlow Park, Highgate. This event was successfully organised by Aly and Rob and used as part of Rob's 40th birthday celebrations:

It started out as a rainy day and at first it seemed as though the rain would deter many members, however the turn out was pretty good and we amassed around 30 vampyre-picnickers! The sun came out in the late afternoon and suntan lotion (courtesy of Martin - thanks for that Martin!) was passed around, although not before a few pale souls had become a bit pink.

As well as eating and drinking, a game of cricket and frisbee kept the group entertained. The frisbee playing(and the group as a whole ) attracted many strange looks from passers-by. The best part of the game playing was when the frisbee was trapped in a tree and the aptly-named 'Woody' climbed into the tree to rescue it. In all it took 5 Goths to rescue one little frisbee!
