Blood Bar
|
|
A new vampire novel, available on Amazon now, by an associate of the LVG - Synopsis:
"Vampires are real...yet, on the brownstone back alley side streets of New York, a vampire dies. Desperate, his lover turns to Kim Bennett, author Norm Applegate’s quintessential heroine whose passion for S&M led to celebrity status as a hell-and-back murder mystery sleuth who’s been there, done that, and then some. This time, Kim finds herself caught between a secret vampire society’s attempts to locate The Black Testament (a sacred document written by Jack the Ripper), the modern-day vampire hunters bent on their destruction, and a white knuckled journey of self-discovery that catapults her into the bowels of hell and the arms of the ultimate vampire.......courtesy of The Haven, New York’s ultimate BLOOD BAR."

Fire Of Heaven, Fire Of Hell
|
|
A New book LVGese may appreciate: Fire Of Heaven, Fire Of Hell by Darvell St-Irvyne. A powerful drama of the Shelleys and Byron and the origins of The Vampyre and Frankenstein, this new play explores the revolutionary ideas, sublime work and tempestuous lives of the characters. Focussing especially on Mary Shelley and Byron, the play is at once dark, witty, radical, erotic and poetic - an exhilarating gallop through Romanticism itself, the ultimate literary wild hunt.
-- 'My God, how far are you prepared to go?'
-- 'All the way! Further! To the limits! Beyond!'
A must for all lovers of Gothic, aficionados of new theatre and students of Romantic literature alike.
For more details about the play and how to buy copies (£7.50 (inc. p&p) in UK & Europe; £7.99 (inc. p&p) rest of world) see the
Quincey Riddle website.

The Chronicles
The Magazine goes from strength to strength- we now have the biggest format, the most number of pages and the widest circulation ever. Unfortunately it doesn’t always attract people to become members of the LVG and we are considering a separate subscription (i.e. magazine only) to make sure that the magazine doesn’t suffer from reduced sales as a result. We always need help with articles, photos, drawings, cartoons and other stuff - why not write us a letter offering an opinion on something?
In the future we want to introduce more advertising and if any readers know of people who want to use this facility, then let us know. Similarly, the mag is very popular in comic shops so why not check out if your local one would be willing to try to sell a few copies? Just take your mag a long, show it to the shop keeper and, if they are happy to take, say, five issues send the details to the editor. The magazine needs a boost so that we can make it even better and this is how you can help.
We are also planning to introduce more (any!) advertising so, if you want to place an ad, or know someone who does, then let us know at chronicles@revamped.co.uk
Artistically inclined? Want to display your alt/Goth artwork at our Requiem For The Resurrected events?
If so,send an email to the LVG secretary.
Please note:
- The displayed items remain the responsibility of the artists,
although we can assist setting up, you will be responsible for the
transport of the artwork and dismantling the display at the end of
the night.
- We can offer no payment (barring a free ticket) for any displays.
This is, however, an excellent opportunity
to display and discuss your work with people who will have an
interest; and it is possible that you get a mention in our
Magazine 'The Chronicles' and this website!
